MSNSW short course championships 2026

Over the weekend (10/11th October 2026), seven of our members headed down to Canberra to compete in the MSNSW State Short Course Championships. Our swimmers were Micah, Owen, Russell, Derek, Donna, Joanna and Suzie.

We are super proud of all our swimmers and what they accomplished over the weekend. Whether it was achieving a PB, nailing a turn or simply swimming their best on the day. No doubt everyone came away with some great memories.

As a club, we finished 14th overall and 12th on average points.

We also had two relay teams medal in their events:

  • 4 x 50m Mixed Freestyle: Owen, Donna, Suzie and Russell – Bronze medal
  • 4 x 50m Men’s Freestyle: Russell, Derek, Micah and Owen – Silver medal

Our individual results were just as impressive:

  • Micah: 3 silver and 1 bronze medal
  • Owen: 4 gold and 2 silver medals
  • Russell: 5 silver medals
  • Derek: 1 silver and 2 bronze medals
  • Donna: 3 bronze medals
  • Joanna: 3 silver medals
  • Suzie: 1 gold and 2 bronze medals

I hope everyone takes a moment to appreciate what they achieved over the weekend. Every swim counts, and whether you came away with a medal, a PB or a personal achievement, you should all be proud of yourselves.

A big thank you to everyone who came down to Canberra to support us over the weekend. Your encouragement and support were greatly appreciated and helped make the weekend even more special.

I’m incredibly proud of everyone and what we achieved together as a club.
