Last week saw 14 of our team members head up to Brisbane to participate in the 50th Anniversary of the Masters National Championships.

Events ranged from 25mtr races through to the 800m Freestyle and even an Open Water Event.

It was an epic week of racing which saw members break PBs, win National medals and break State and National records.

Congratulations to our members: Alexandra, Belinda, Bronte, Kelly, Nicole, Micah, Joanna, Russell, Owen, Rick, Daryl, Michelle, Grant and Suzie.

17 Gold

23 Silver

13 Bronze

52 Individual Medals

A special mention to Russell – being our oldest member at the National championship – aged 76! coming away with a range of  medals:, 2 Gold, 4 Silver, 4 Bronze. Simply impressive! 

A huge Thank you to our Club Captains – Kelly and Belinda who put together sensational relay teams. Our relay team came away with:

1 Gold

3 Silver

2 Bronze

75 Personal Bests across the meet – a huge reflection of the work this team has put in.

A special shoutout to Kelly, who smashed records with a State Record in the 400m Backstroke, and both the State & National Record in the 25m Backstroke
